The 2025 edition of the CEE Sustainable Finance Summit arrived at a pivotal moment. Against the backdrop of ESG backlash, geopolitical tensions, and an apparent reprioritisation of sustainable finance at the EU level – including the regulatory simplification proposed under the Omnibus Directive – there was a risk that interest in sustainable finance would fade. The reality was the opposite.
